Work Experience in the Grainger Market
Published 31 January 2015
This week several Grainger Market businesses played host to students from Studio West, an Enterprise and Innovation Campus. Staff from Ellen’s Cosmetics, French Oven, Sloppy Joe’s and Oliver’s Bistro helped to give the students a glimpse of their business and the world of work, as well as everything great that the Grainger Market has to offer.
Jack Dixon, a student at Studio West who undertook his work experience at French Oven, said:
“Working at the French Oven bakery has given me the ability to work effectively as part of a team, to adapt to new situations quickly and gain a real understanding of a working environment.
All in all its a great thing local businesses are doing to support kids across Newcastle.”
There was high praise for the students from colleagues and shoppers alike. Congratulations to all the pupils on a successful week.
